A. A Short Chronology

Caeldon’s history divides into nine broad ages, given here with their spans only, for placing what an entry says of a being’s past: when a people first herded a beast, when a made thing was built or woke, when a power fell and began to send out its hosts. The spans overlap where history did, and all of them are deliberately rough. Dates are given before (BR) and after (CR) the Common Reckoning; the entries describe the beings as they live in the Medieval Era, around 1,350 CR. The events of each age are in the full chronology in Foundations.
