The Settlement
The eighth age, c. 2,000 BR-c. 500 CR, in which the lordships, holds, leagues, and temples of the medieval world dug in, most of them won by the sword, and the Wrought awoke. See How the Present Was Made.
The lordships, holds, leagues, and temples the Medieval Era takes for granted dig in across the cradle-web, the far-side roads, the water-worlds, and the ruin belts, and most of them are won by the sword. The youngest people of Caeldon appears: old workframes wake as the Wrought, and their first fight to be counted as a people is still within living memory when the Medieval Era begins.
- The Hardening of the Lordships (c. 2,000 BR-c. 500 CR): the long span in which those lordships dig in.
- The Awakening of the Wrought (c. 1,500 BR-c. 200 CR)
