The Corridor Ages
The seventh age, c. 40,000-c. 2,000 BR, in which the young Humans came into their own, fast and hungry, and swallowed, borrowed, or bent nearly every older order they touched. See How the Present Was Made.
The Humans come into their own, fast and hungry. The Confluence Marches are carved out of the basins, the Headwater roads bind Humans and Dwarves in trade and quarrel, and the Serathic river towns band into a league. The same hunger swallows the Reedfolk rivers, chains Ogre camps to the road-work by debt until they rise against it, drags Dwarven workframes out into the world, and pushes into the Elderweald and against the Elven realms. Near its end the last Beyonder Incursion swallows a Headwater valley in Qzoth's Bloom, and it is burned back with fire.
