The Waitfield
The cleared ground at the edge of the Briarreach where the Thornbound Circles receive traders and envoys, and where most trade happens and goes no further. See The Forest Heartlands.
A cleared ground at the outer edge, trampled bare and ringed with the cold hearths of earlier camps. Traders and envoys pitch here and wait, sometimes for a season, until a circle sends word whether it will receive them. Nobody lives on it for good, but in the trading months it holds more people than any circle, and most of the region's trade is done here and goes no further.
