Correth
Largest corridor town and the chief of the old guarantee towns, whose word the smaller towns follow; the League has no capital.
The largest town on the corridor, forty thousand people or more on a broad rise above the flood line, walled on the landward side and fronted by water-gate, quays, and a busy ferry landing. Inside are several markets, the greatest oath-house on the river, two record-houses, and an moot-hall whose word other towns quote back at it. Its water-gate has been forced once, in a war with an upstream town that its children still re-fight with sticks on the quays, and its great houses have never forgiven the town that did it. Its quarters are as mixed as the corridor's: Reedfolk stilt houses at the water's edge, Goblins and Wrought on the quays and in the workshops, and families part Elven or Dwarven by marriage.
