Twohalves

A ruined fort with a Goblin warren in its upper breaks and a Kobold underhouse below, each keeping a different half of the same failure. Some fifty people live there, salvaging, bracing, and keeping watch, and the warren refuses warrants, which makes it the first place a clearance looks. It has beaten off two, and its children play at clearances in the yard, where the clearance side always ends up in the cellar.
