Oathfoot
Largest walled foothill town, below the gate of Thrumgate; where the Headwater lords most often sit in judgement.
A walled foothill town at a valley head below the gate of Thrumgate, the hold whose exchange road it serves. It has a market, a shrine, a caravan yard, a lord's tower, the hall where the Headwater lords sit over road quarrels, smithies working to Dwarven methods, a burden house for the Ogre camps, and a house of the Mending Orders. Ten thousand or more people live here, Dwarven families thickest in the upper streets near the road to the gate, and nearly all of them work the road in some season. Its taverns are where caravan-masters hire sellswords and beast-hunters, and where the bounty on the latest outlaw band is cried.
