Chaffbridge
Walled march-town at a bridge over a feeder river, with mill, market, and shrine but no record-house; whoever holds the bridge takes from every cart.
A smaller march-town at a bridge over a feeder river: a wall, a mill, a market square, and an oath-house, with no record-house of its own. Some two thousand people live by the bridge, the grain market, and the carts on the Sheaf Road. The lord who holds the bridge takes a toll of every cart; the town's ruling houses take everything else, and the two feud over the line with a few armed men each and a body in the river most years.
