The largest sea settlement of the Reaches, four thousand or more Thaluren in reef shelter on the inner edge of the Kelpshade, their submerged and half-sheltered dwellings gathered where the current is gentle. Its people fish, gather shellfish, and tend the shoals; in return season its run gathers along the kelp, and when the young come down from the rivers they are counted here first.
