Inner fold town with the greatest cistern hall in the Folds, where the reserve is counted aloud each autumn; no town rules the Folds.
An inner fold town of two or three thousand Halflings in a deep hollow with a spring at its head, its stone houses packed along the upper edge of the terraces with their store-rooms on the cool side. Its cistern hall is the greatest in the Folds, ringed by the measure orders' tally houses, and its outer yard has been stormed and held more often than any other in the Folds. Each autumn the reserve is counted aloud there before the whole commons, and other folds wait to hear the count.
