Coastal Human fishing hamlet on a shingle cove, under the harbour families' rule.
A Human fishing hamlet on a shingle cove between two harbours: a dozen timber houses above the tide line, boats drawn up on the shingle, drying racks, and a shrine to Maris at the water's edge. It sells its catch at the nearest harbour quay, and its boats are written in that harbour's ledger like everyone else's. Its elders swear the hamlet has never kept a wrecker's lamp, which is exactly what a wreckers' hamlet would swear, and the harbour ward who buys its fish has stopped asking.
