It also holds what earlier drafts split off as a separate Open Way: it governs not only movement itself, but the deeper refusal of reality to become a perfect cage. Where motion is absolutely barred and every exit is sealed, life curdles towards prison, stagnation, and collapse.

Appearance and Presence

The Steward appears as a lean figure composed of moving air, tattered banners, migrating birds, and the edges of storms.

• Visuals: Its limbs are never fully still, blurring into currents and gust-lines. Its cloak resembles a map that keeps redrawing beyond the edge.
• The Atmosphere: Nearby, doors seem less final, lungs expand more deeply, and the horizon feels closer.
• The Voice: It speaks like wind entering a sealed room for the first time in years.
